Maggie Brennan is a University Admissions Consultant based in Buenos Aires who works worldwide.
You know what I love about this job? It’s the opportunity to get to know so many different types of people. I find it fascinating to get to know each student, their talents and their challenges and then find the perfect university program to fit those needs. You see, I never did that for myself when I was 18 years old, so I’ve dedicated my career to making sure people don’t make the same mistake I did.
Let me give you a bit of background as to how I got here.
I was super fortunate to grow up in Milwaukee, WI (USA) a beautiful city in the Midwest. Being the youngest of 8 siblings, I felt the pressure to do as well as they did in school, so I really struggled. That experience of feeling a little lost in class has stuck with me throughout my entire career. I loved learning, but never found true success or passion for the subject until the end of college.
After graduating from University of Wisconsin Madison with a double major in Spanish and Communication Arts, I was ready to tackle a new challenge, so I moved to New York City.
So I moved to Manhattan, where I met and married Gustavo and raised 3 kids. That quickly led to a Master’s degree in Teaching and a career in education, where I taught everything from middle school to college level courses in New York. I went back and got a second Master’s degree in Educational Technology and expanded my career to all different types of educational consulting.
In 2012 we decided to relocate to Buenos Aires, Gustavo’s home city. I know dedicate myself full time to helping Argentine and Latin American students in applying to universities in both the US and Europe, for both undergraduate and graduate studies.
I firmly believe there is a perfect university program for everyone. My ultimate goal is to help you find the school that’s right for you, your needs, your talents, your budget and your lifestyle.
