Maggie offers a variety of rates and packages, making the advising totally flexible.

Comprehensive Package:

This package provides services and guidance for the student and their family through every step of the college application process, including:

Preparation phase – high school transcript review, SAT/ACT test scheduling, student interviews to determine interests, skills, possible majors or careers, parent interviews to determine financial aid and other preferences.
List phase – putting together all the above information and creating a preliminary list of schools for the student and family to analyze. Schedule and preparation for effective school visits.
Application phase – assistance with all aspects of the application process, including deadline management, essays and personal statements, transcripts, resumes, degree-specific requirements, letters of recommendation, interview practice, assistance in final choice once decision letters have been received.

Note that the above process may last anywhere from 6 months to two years, depending on the student’s circumstances. It includes unlimited phone and email consultations.

Mini Package:

Some students and families feel they only need assistance in one or two phases of the application process. For example, some students complete the preparation entirely on their own and only need assistance with the application forms or deadlines. In either case, we offer this mini package as an alternative for the students who want more focused assistance on a particular aspect of the application process.

This package normally includes 3 or 4 meetings, requires independent preparation and research on the part of the student and families, and includes up to 2 additional hours for phone and email consultations.

Hourly Package:

This package is for very short and defined projects, such as limited essay review or interview practice. This is a “pay as you go” service, by the hour.
